The Salon
JM Hairdressing & Beauty caters for clients of all ages, both men and women, and prides itself on excellent client care delivered by their highly trained team of professionals. The salon is large with 2 beauty rooms and a spray tan area, quite a surprise when you first enter the salon.
History of the salon
Jackie the present owner purchased the small traditional hairdressers in 2000, with a vision to build on the existing tired business, bring it truly up to date as well as to grow the existing small team. The salon and building have been sympathetically renovated whilst retaining much of the original features of the Victorian building, such as natural floorboards and fireplaces.
The JM team grew very quickly and very soon outgrew the original premises, which were extended in 2005, providing a very spacious air conditioned salon over 2 levels, with 2 beauty rooms, and disabled access and facilities. At this point Jackie's daughter Lauren joined the team as a trainee hairdresser & beautician and has progressed to Salon Manager, as well as a professional freelance makeup artist. There is now a large team of 12 which includes hair designers and beauty therapists.
A HUGE achievement for the salon was to gain a place for 3 years running in the finals of the NATIONAL 'British Hairdressing Business Awards for 'Team of the Year' & 'Junior of the Year' categories as well as 'Salon of the Year' categories.
The salon have won many local & regional awards including the Kent Business Award for 'Excellence in Training and Development' in 2007, after being runners up in 2006, and the Gravesend Messenger 'Salon of The Year Award' in 2008. A fantastic achievement for a small family business.

Directions:
From the A2 turn off at the exit at Northfleet/Pepperhill and follow the road to the roundabout at Sainsburys. Turn right at the roundabout into Hall Road and continue to Cygnets leisure centre and through the traffic lights and into Perry Street. When you reach All Saints Church on your right, look out for All Saints Road situated on your left, and turn left. Proceed all the way to the top of the road and the salon is at the top on the left hand side of the road. Parking is available behind the salon turn left into the alleyway, and directly pull into the rear of the salon.
